[Ctyfc] Job Posting: Brewery Farm Manager

Circle Brewing Company is hiring a Farm Manager to run the day-to-day
operations of our 22 acre farm in Elgin, TX.  Circle Brewing seeks to
create a unique one-of-a-kind brewery where the ingredients used in making
its beer are grown on-site and customers can enjoy a 100% Texan beer, from
seed to glass.  Circle endeavors to reduce waste and close the
sustainability loop as much as possible by growing their own wheat, barley,
and hops, using the spent grain from the brewing cycle to feed their
livestock, and using the manure to fertilize their crops.  This is an
opportunity to not only be part of a unique farm and brewery, but also
working with management in helping to create the very farm system that
makes it happen.

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
-Operating and Maintaining Heavy Machinery
-General Farm Duties
-Seasonal Forecasting, Planning, Planting, and Harvesting of Row Crops
(Wheat & Barley)
-Planting and Care for Small Orchard
-Management and maintenance of 1/2 acre stock pond
-Hiring and management of additional farm help as needed throughout the year
-Maintenance of 3/4 mile walking trail
-Creating and curating small brewery vegetable garden
-Planting, pruning, and harvesting of Hops, both hydroponics and in the
field
-Livestock management - Initially chickens and pigs
-Maintenance and operation of Irrigation equipment and scheduling
-Familiarity and affinity for Sustainable Agriculture techniques and
practices
