We are excited to announce we have full-time, and part-time positions open.
We are succeeding in our mission to feed our local community and need to
expand our team to help pick, pack, market, and sell the abundance of
vegetables we are growing. :-)

VRDNT Farm is a bio-intensive vegetable farm in Bastrop TX (45min E of
Austin) We believe relocalizing agriculture is a radical step towards
improving our individual health and community resilience. VRDNT’s mission
is simple: to nourish the land and our local community by growing  high
quality, nutrient dense, super-fresh veggies. Owner Becky Hume spent over
10 years working on Organic and sustainable farms before taking the leap to
start her own in 2019 (that’s me!). We operate a year-round CSA
(subscription) program as well as selling at Farmer’s Markets and to local
wholesalers. In our fourth year, we are hitting our stride and continuing
to expand our production and products. We’re looking for folks to join our
team, who share a passion for growing food, and a willingness to work hard
as a team.

FULL TIME
Farm Assistant (Tue–Sat 8-4:30)
Despite the bland title, this is an awesome opportunity for anyone looking
to learn the ropes of farming. This position will work with our harvest
team 2 days a week, and our grower 2 days a week and will assist at the
farmers market 1 day/ week. Responsibilities will include picking, washing,
and packing vegetables with the harvest team. Planting, hoeing, and
trellising will be common tasks while working with our grower. Helping at
the farmers market will include setting up, maintaining vegetable display,
and checking out customers. Hours are generally 8-4:30 but may vary
seasonally. We currently have 3 full-time employees who have all been at
the farm for over a year. We do not hire very often; this is a great
opportunity to join a tight-knit efficient farm team! Employment is
full-time/year-round. Pay $16-18/hr based on experience.

PART-TIME
Farmers Market Assistant (Saturday or Sunday 8-2(ish))
We need some extra hands at the Bastrop and Mueller Farmers markets
(Saturday and Sunday). This position will help/ assist one of our existing
employees at the Farmers Market. This will mostly include setting up,
restocking the vegetable display, and checking out customers. Markets are
usually really fun if you enjoy chatting with folks :-) Pay is $15 +
veggies and trades

TRADE/ PART-TIME
Digital Content Creator
We need more content for our social media accounts. Ideally, we’d like to
trade veggies with someone who has a knack for taking great photos or who
creates cooking videos, etc. We’d like to find some mutually beneficial
relationships to help cross-promote and benefit our combined audiences with
cooking/healthy eating content. Pretty open on what that might look like.
