Plant It Forward (PIF) provides targeted support to a network of eight (8) independent urban farms, each operated by new American farmers. PIF seeks to expand opportunities in local agriculture to more new American farmers. To achieve this goal, PIF must strengthen community support for our work and community understanding of related issues, including the benefits seasonal eating, the urgency of creating a healthy agri-ecosystem, and the importance of refugee & new American contributions within our local food system. Moreover, we need to enhance our fiscal sustainability by diversifying revenue streams and strengthening partnerships. VISTA will play a critical role in building organizational capacity around fundraising and development by creating content supporting President and Board-led donor campaigns and fundraising events, as well as sustaining and increasing memberships via the creation and implementation of an annual marketing plan together with the Enterprise Programs Director, to include community events, online resources, and materials geared towards specific audience needs.

Member Duties : Create promotional materials, which may include print, video, and online content Implement standard process for capturing media (photography and video) of organization activities Work with director in implementing, improving and expanding PIF’s social media platforms, including Instagram, Twitter, Facebook and Mailchimp Create and implement annual marketing plan to include all program and development areas Assess needs of (3) specific low income/low food access neighborhoods, responding to those needs in collaboration with community partners, monitoring results of pilot programming and reporting on best practices. Knowledge of Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and WordPress desired
