[Ctyfc] Virtual marketing workshop next week

[Small Producers Initiative]

Hey y'all,

SPI is hosting a "DIY Marketing Workshop" for small/beginning farmers next Wednesday, 11/10 from 5:30-7:30pm. It's via Zoom and will be a mix of hands-on activities/break out rooms and presentations. We're partnering with Dr. Taewon Suh, a marketing & entrepreneurship professor at TXST. We think he will bring a lot of new and useful information to the table. We also hope this will be the beginning of a longer-term partnership, so would love if you could attend and provide some feedback!

We are asking a $20 registration fee, but if that poses a hardship for you, let me know -- smallproducers at txstate.edu.

The workshop will cover four distinct areas: defining your job/position within the business, developing your value proposition and brand, communicating your values to customers (and vice versa) and creating a go-to market strategy. I think this will be especially relevant to young and beginning farmers but may also be useful for those who are looking to shake up their marketing strategy or branding.
