I wanted to share with you that the Soil for Water<https://soilforwater.org/> program is hiring an independently contracted Network Coordinator. We are looking for a candidate who is a self-starter, great networker, has some familiarity with regenerative agriculture, is highly organized, and who lives close enough to Austin/San Antonio to come for occasional meetings.

Soil for Water Network Coordinator:
Soil for Water is an initiative to catch and hold more rainwater in soil. We aim to create a critical mass of landowners who are applying regenerative agricultural practices that improve soil health and the water cycle. We act as a facilitator, networker, and educational resource to an expanding web of partners interested in this mission.
We work side-by-side with agricultural producers to build peer-to-peer connections that help them improve their regenerative agriculture skills to increase adoption rates.
Independent Contractor for Hire: Network Coordinator
The Soil for Water Network offers peer-to-peer communication, technical assistance, and educational opportunities to its members. The Network Coordinator will interact directly with members seeking services, the Soil for Water team, and other partners that provide resources and support to the network. They will assist the Soil for Water team by growing the network across seven southern states. This will be accomplished by facilitating ongoing communication, outreach, and education.
Performance period: 7/15/21-6/15/22, estimated 15-20 hours per week, payment terms will be negotiated upon agreement to enter a contract.
Scope of Work:
* Recruit a total of 50 members each in CA, CO, and NM.
* Recruit a total of 75 members in TX.
* Recruit a total of 20 members each in AR, MS, VA
* Engage with at least three partner organizations in each state to recruit new network members.
* Plan one in person event and one virtual event in each state of CA, CO, NM, TX.
* Provide excellent customer service by corresponding with network members to facilitate a seamless experience for those seeking services.
* Support Soil for Water team and partners by building mutually beneficial relationships that add value to the network.
Working conditions:
This is an independent contractor position. You will be working from home. The contract will require 10-15% travel both in and out of state, which will be reimbursed by NCAT. Much of your work will be performed online. A secure internet connection is a must. Additionally, a quiet uninterrupted place where you can conduct business and online meetings will be necessary. You will also be asked to attend meetings in the Central Texas (Austin/San Antonio) area on occasion. Business insurance is also required.
